Nano-scale ZVI remediation and recent developments using micro-scale technology

"Forest Research and the University of Surrey have developed and patent protected the C-Cure Solutions’ technology which offers a low cost, low carbon sustainable way of generating renewable energy whilst producing charcoals which can be used to improve biodegradation of organics or remove leachable metals from soils, mine spoils, wastes and waters. In the case of on site remediation these super adsorbant charcoals sequester metals thereby preventing leaching, reducing ecotoxicity, and allowing re-vegetation of soils. Used in a waste treatment facility these products can be used to meet Waste Acceptance Criteria.
