Emerging techniques

Other techniques such as electrokinetic remediation, radiowave heating, six-phase heating and accelerated carbonation technology involve the use of electric currents, radio waves and carbon dioxide to treat contaminants in the soil. Use of such methods is not yet widespread but is becoming more so as research continues.
