Groundwater risk assessment of contaminated land

Event organiser:
ESI

With the arrival of the Groundwater Regulations (1998) and implementation of the Environmental Protection Act (1990) Part llA there is a pressing need for contaminated land risk assessment to be applied in a consistent scientifically defensible manner.

This course provides an intensive two day programme for hydrogeologists and others involved in addressing the risks to groundwater associated with contaminated land. The course objective is to equip delegates with the practical skills required to develop conceptual models. The course teaches delegates how to use relevant approaches to risk assessment consistent with the Environment Agency's methodologies for the assessment of contamination problems, derivation of remedial targets and cost effective environmental protection.
