Bournemouth Borough Council has appointed King Sturge as lead advisor in its search for a private sector partner for its joint venture regeneration company or local asset backed vehicle for delivering elements of the town centre master vision.

The initiative will see the Council invest a share of its land assets in return for investment from its partner.

The council is offering 15 town centre sites with a gross development value estimated in excess of £330m and further council-owned or other sites may be added in the future.

"We are confident that the project will generate a strong response from quality developers and create an important catalyst for change," said King Sturge Financial Serices managing director Chris Pratt.

Construction of a regional dance centre is already underway in Bournemouth Pavillion.
