Medway Council is holding consultations on a draft master plan for retail-led development in Chatham's High Street and Best Street areas.
The plan involves at least 30,000m² of shops and a new superstore on Best Street, retention of the High Street as the main shopping route and creation of new public spaces.
It envisages some redevelopment at the eastern end of the High Street with new shops and also proposes new community space, work space and flats.
