The London Development Agency is seeking a development partner for a site in the Albert Basin of the Royal Docks where it hopes to build over 600 homes in a mixed-use scheme.

With support from Newham Borough Council, the Agency wants to create a scheme called Gallions Quarter beside Gallions Reach DLR station.

"With the eyes of the world on London in the run-up to the 2012 Games, we are looking for partners who share our vision for east London," said LDA deputy chief executive Peter Bishop. "Gallions Quarter is an exciting opportunity to build a lasting legacy."

The LDA says it is particularly keen to get expressions of interest from small and medium scale developers who share its vision for high quality development.
