The South West Regional Development Agency has promoted its head of planning and transport, Alice Ordridge, to be head of regeneration in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
She joined the Agency six years ago after a decade's experience in property consultancies including GVA Grimley and Savills.
"Alice has extensive experience in commercial planning and development work and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Cornwall maximises the opportunities presented by convergence funding and major developments like the eco town," said Agency director for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Theo Leijser.
"She's a huge asset to the team and we're delighted to have her on board."
She will succeed Sandra Rothwell who has taken up the post of head of economic development at Cornwall County Council.
"This is an exciting time to be working in Cornwall and my priority will be working closely with our partners including Cornwall Council, Cornwall Development Company, CPR Regeneration and the private sector including landowners and developers to ensure the successful delivery of regeneration projects that have the maximum long term benefit for Cornwall's economy," said Ms Ordridge.
