Work is about to start building a hotel and restaurant on the Tower Business Park outside Rugeley following remediation of the 40ha former colliery site by Cannock Chase District Council and Advantage West Midlands.
Premier Inn and Table Table Restaurant will build the 50-room hotel and restaurant for opening next year.
"This is one of the last pieces of the jigsaw slotting into place," said AWM head of asset management Steve Holland.
"We have worked with partners to invest more than £10m on making this former colliery site ready for high quality office, industrial and warehouse space. The site is substantially occupied and those businesses and others in the region will now have quality hotel and restaurant facilities close at hand."
The business park also includes office, industrial and warehose space and was developed by the Council, AWM and Gazeley.
"The support from Advantage West Midlands has been invaluable and we have been delighted by the partnership approach on this project," said John Bates, head of acquisitions for Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants.
